The rapid weaponization of generative models has made AI-powered social engineering the top breach vector in 2025, enabling threat actors to exploit both human psychology and software vulnerabilities at an unprecedented scale. As attackers automate their offense with large language models (LLMs), many security teams are struggling to keep pace with manual defenses. This creates a dangerous tempo mismatch, and this article explores how security leaders are closing the gap.
